Le coin à couture / Sewing corner

Au début, je pensais m'installer sur une table ou un bureau et coudre. Mais sortir la machine à coudre, l'installer, la régler et la ranger alors que je suis en plein milieu de mon ouvrage, c'est fastidieux. Cela occasionne des soirées tardives car je veux absolument finir avant de ranger...
Et puis, je navigue sur Internet, et je vois de belles photos, des vidéos de tables de machine à coudre, on y parle ergonomie, façon d'installer les tables...
C'est compliqué... Mais finalement, c'est possible chez nous. J'avais dans la tête d'aménager une pièce dédiée à la couture au grenier. Mais pour l'instant ce n'est pas possible. Il n'y a pas de place au rez-de-jardin  ou alors c'est trop sombre. 
Et si j'installais le coin couture dans le bureau. Une partie bureau et une partie couture. 
Leah Day conseille de s'installer dans un coin. Elle conseille aussi de mettre la machine à coudre insérée dans un plan de travail. 
Les tables de couture sont hors de prix : les belles tables sont à 799 $ en soldes !

Mais Marta fait un blog et a eu l'idée de percer un trou dans une table pas chère d'IKEA. 
Allez, on se lance dans l'aventure. 
John m'a beaucoup aidée. Au début, il a dit que mon projet (pas moi, heureusement) était fou. Peut-être, mais maintenant, j'ai un beau coin à couture, avec une belle table pour la machine à coudre.

Et voilà la table et le coin couture ! 

La table de la machine est sur roulettes, comme cela, je peux déplacer la table pour accéder aux boîtes qui sont sous les plans de travail et au plan de travail qui sert de plan de coupe et de table de repassage.

Les plans de travail sont sur des trétaux. Cela m'a permis de les installer à 86 cm de hauteur.

I had the idea that one day I would have a room dedicated for sewing only, in the attic. But now, it is not possible. And the first floor is too dark and there is not enough space. 

How about installing the sewing place in a corner of the office? There would be then an office place and a sewing place. 

Leah Day suggests to install the sewing place in a corner. She also advises to put the machine inserted in a sewing table. But it is too expensive (e.g. $ 799 on sale).

But Marta published a tutorial to make one. Let's go!!

John helped me a lot. At the beginning he said that my project (not me) was crazy. Maybe yes, but now I have a nice sewing corner.

Look at my sewing corner. The sewing table in on wheels so I can move it easily and reach the boxes underneath the cutting and ironing area. 

The boards were put on sawhorses so I can adjust the height.
